Valente Daylilies

	Ron Valente lived in E. Lebanon, Maine, a short distance from Merrymeeting Daylilies, and although we met briefly, I did not collect any of his introductions during his lifetime, but soon after my daylily obsession developed fully I realized the great value and magnitude of his hybridizing efforts. As my collection grew, and I was able to assess the merits of his plants as compared with the hundreds of other daylilies in my collection, I set out to provide for myself and others a complete collection of his introductions in a local setting. I have nearly all of his original introductions and some of the posthumous introductions from 5acre Farm. All of Ron's introductions are vigorous growers, heavy bloomers, open well and have all the other desirable characteristics of modern daylilies.
