Merrymeeting Daylilies and Merrymeeting Gardens are two separate and co-operating businesses. Merrymeeting Gardens was founded 15 years ago by Les Turner as a retirement business, but it quickly grew beyond his intentions, in 2003 Les's Daughter Amanda was absorbed into the business, and now owns and operates the Garden Center while Les has returned to his one true love, the Daylily! Being side by side on the map, divided by the Ela River, 'you can't get there from here', however, a brief two minute car ride will ferry you safely from one garden to the next.
